Woodbridge has collaborated with some of our global church partners to structure a sponsorship program with the students our global partners serve. This program gives Woodbridge members the opportunity to play a role in student’s lives and support the mission of our global partners.

Success Stories
Read two testimonies from students that have been a part of the programs for a number of years
Markjan
Markjan was 4 years old when he started learning about the Lord and his faith journey began. He and his brother were malnourished when his mother enrolled them in the church’s feeding program. When the church opened Breakthrough Christian Academy (BCA), he was enrolled as a 7th grade student. After he finished high school, he took a two year course in midwifery. By the grace of God and the educational sponsorship, he graduated two years ago. Presently he is working at St. Jude Hospital in Manila as a midwife on staff.
Markjan testifies to the power of God changing his father. He used to be a very hard man. But when he came to know the Lord, his heart softened and he became a loving and gracious father. Now, he is one of the most committed pastors in Breakthrough church.
Markjan thanks the Lord for the people God placed in his life—his parents, the church, and his sponsors. “My prayer is that I continue to serve the Lord as a midwife and inspire others to trust God for the impossible. I pray that my testimony will encourage more children and youth to pursue God first and put Jesus above all things at all times. I pray that more children and youth will commit their lives to the Lord. I pray for the people whom God used to help children in need like myself fulfill God’s purpose in their lives as I am starting to do with mine.”
Jomon
Jomon is a product of iRC’s Alternative Learning System. He’s been out of school for a long time because of poverty situation. He pursued his dream of going back to school by working in Metro Manila but failed because of hard circumstances. He almost had given up hope and found himself back to Negros empty handed and has lost more time but was privileged to benefit from iRC scholarship program for out-of-school youth. He finished High School at age 29 and made it through college today. He is now looking forward to finish his degree soon.
