Follow-up Questions from Sunday’s Message:
Review:
Looking back on last Sunday’s message and your notes, what was the most meaningful part for you?
Digging Deeper:
1. What are some things we can learn about a person from visiting their home? What could people learn about you from seeing your home?
2. Read Matthew 17:24-27. What do these verses reveal to you about the person of Jesus? If you were
Peter, what would you have been thinking in the midst of all of this?
3. What do you think were Peter’s greatest moments of faith in following Jesus? What are some of
yours?
4. What do you think were Peter’s “not so greatest moments” of faith in following Jesus? What are
some of yours?
5. Read Matthew 16:13-20. In this section, Jesus reveals to Peter his specific ministry calling as God’s
primary human agent in starting the Church Age. As we read in these following chapters, Peter was
God’s leader in starting the church to the Jews in Acts 2, the Gentiles in Acts 10, and the half-Jews
(Samaritans) in Acts 8. What do you think is Gods specific ministry calling in your life? How do you
think people find their specific ministry callings?
6. Read 1 Peter 2:9; 2 Peter 1:3. According to these verses you are called/chosen by Jesus. In your
general calling to be a child of God, serve, and proclaim; which ones do you feel you understand the
most and exercise the best?
Taking it Home:
Pray that God will help you to understand and grow in His calling for your life.
