Review:
Looking back on last Sunday’s message and your notes, what was the most memorable part for you?
Digging Deeper:
1. Last Sunday, Pastor Frank talked about our responsibility to take God’s message to the world through Jesus and how it all starts with an understanding of God’s Holiness. When you think of God’s holiness, what do you think about? What verses come to your mind?
2. Read Isaiah 6:1-5. Isaiah was the most righteous man in all of Israel, but what happened to him when he was taken into the Presence of God? What does this tell you about the holiness of God’s Presence?
3. Read Ephesians 1:4; Colossians 1:22. What do these Scriptures say about you?
4. What happened in your life that made you holy in God’s sight? Read 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; 1 Peter 3:18; Ephesians 2:8-9. How has this truth affected the way you live and how do you think it should affect the way we live?
5. When you share Jesus with others, what is your biggest challenge?
6. Last Sunday, Pastor Frank shared some things he has learned over the years in sharing Jesus–like praying for an opportunity, asking questions, being upfront with his faith, and looking to the Holy Spirit to lead him. What things have you learned over the years?
7. What do you think a church would look like that took seriously its responsibility to the Gospel? Give examples. How do you think we are doing at W.C.C.?
Taking it Home:
Pray this week for God to give you an opportunity to share Jesus with someone who is lost and knows it.
