1. Jesus was dedicated to God the Father at birth. (Luke 2:19-24)
2. Jesus was/is dedicated to us. (Hebrews 12:1-2; John 15:3)
People followed Jesus for their own expectations and reasons.
3. The Zealots followed Jesus seeking political freedom.
4. The “free loaders” followed Jesus for free food.
5. The entertainment crowed followed Jesus because it was exciting.
6. The personal advancement people followed Jesus for power and position.
What does Jesus desire from His followers in Luke 14?
7. Jesus wants us to live dedicated lives to Him.
A. The word “hate” means to hold in relative disregard.
8. Dedication is a decision of the heart and will.
9. Dedication is a daily decision.
10. What we dedicate our life to usually defines us.
