Follow-up Questions from Sunday:
Quick Review:
Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything you heard for the first time or that caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?
Digging Deeper:
1. When was the last time you gave a review? What were the items you were rating and why?
2. In Revelation chapters 2-3, Jesus begins to review Seven Churches in Asia Minor for the good and bad things they were practicing. What do you think are some of the most important things that need to be seen in a church today?
3. When we read 1 Corinthians 4:5; Romans 14:10-12; 2 Corinthians 5:10, we find that someday we as individual believers in Jesus will also be receiving a “heavenly review” from Jesus in how we chose to live our lives. What do we learn about that day from these verses?
4. 1 Corinthians 3: 9-15 is an interesting section of Scripture that speaks to Jesus being the foundation of our lives. What do you think verses 12-13 are talking about? What do you think the materials represent in our lives? What do you think the testing of fire is?
5. What do you think are the rewards of heaven spoken about in these last passages and that Jesus talks about in Matthew 5:11-12; Matthew 6:1-6?
6. When you think about standing before God one day and receiving a heavenly review from Jesus and heavenly rewards; how do you think this should affect our lives today?
