Dear WCC Family,
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High…and His kingdom will have no end. – Luke 1:32a, 33b
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, whom we love and serve!
Thank you for your faithful giving to God’s work at WCC. This year, we have again been blessed to continue ministering to our church family, the surrounding Irvine community, and indeed across the globe. On behalf of your elected leadership team, please allow us to strongly affirm that we feel God is continuing to lead us forward in 2026 in the same direction.
We continue to have a burden for the youth in our city along with everyone the Lord brings to WCC. In light of this, we are “full steam ahead” in our search for a youth pastor and are continuing to tweak our physical and online presences in order to enhance the warmth of a church home that you are all an integral part of.
As we approach the end of 2025, a stark fact is that the church has been running at a deficit the past couple years. Praise God that we have a healthy reserve account that has allowed us to continue operations. The reserve fund is a product of wise stewardship and sacrifice of past years. In 2026, we are anticipating additional expenses in hiring as well as a significant roof repair for Building C.
On December 21st , we will be doing our traditional “Birthday Gift to Jesus.” Please join us in person that day and prayerfully consider how God is leading you to help move WCC forward. This past Sunday’s message touched on King David and a temple that was on his heart, but he never got to see. Hebrews suggests that this is the essence of faith, when we act today in anticipation of what God will do in the coming days. May we all seek the Lord, remembering how He came to seek us some 2000 years ago. He is great and he is the Son of the Most High…and His kingdom will have no end!
Your co-laborers in His grace,
Matt Wang, Chairman
