Follow-up Questions from Sunday’s Message:
Intro question:
What do you think the difference is between outreach and evangelism?
Digging Deeper:
1. What was the one thing that most stood out to you from the message on Sunday?
2. In Matthew 9, Jesus is in the early stages of His incredible ministry along the Sea of Galilee. What does Matthew 9:35-38 reveal to us about His heart?
3. These Scriptures say that Jesus saw people as lost (without understanding, direction, hope, etc.) and that He had compassion on them. When you see lost people what range of thoughts, feelings, and emotions go through your mind? When was the last time this happened to you?
4. In these verses, who does Jesus say we need to pray to God for? Why do you think that is?
5. When Jesus gave the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 to His disciples, what do you think was going through their minds? What goes through yours?
6. When you think about the Great Commission and Jesus’ calling for your life, what frightens and excites you the most?
7. In what ways can you be a part of the Great Commission in the context of your family, work, neighborhood, activities, and church?
8. What do you think is the biggest challenge full time missionaries are facing in today’s world?
Prayer:
Pray this week for our missionaries that they would have a fresh filling of the power of the Holy Spirit to continue to do what they do.
