Follow-up Questions from Sunday’s Message:
Quick Review: Looking back on last Sunday’s message and your notes, what was the most meaningful part for you?
Digging Deeper:
1. When we read Luke 24:13-49 and John 20:19-25, we see that Thomas was in the room when the two disciples from Emmaus reported to the 11 apostles that they had seen Jesus, but he had left the room before Jesus appeared to them. Why do you think Thomas left the room that night? What do you think was going on in his mind? What do you think would have been going on in your mind?
2. When we read John 20:24-29, we see that Thomas refused to believe that Jesus arose from the dead for one week. Why do you think that is? What evidence was at his disposal to believe Jesus had indeed arisen?
3. When Jesus showed up in that room one week later, do you think Thomas did indeed put his finger in Jesus’ hands and side or do you think he didn’t? Why or why not? How do you picture this scene in your mind?
4. Read 1 Corinthians 15:35-58. How would you summarize what God is saying through Paul in these verses?
Prayer request: Pray that people would draw near to God during this time.
Taking it home: Read Pastor Frank’s Quiet Times on all of the Resurrection appearances found in the Gospels. Enjoy!
