Follow-up Questions from Sunday:

Quick Review:
Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything you heard for the first time or that caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?

Digging Deeper:
1. Read Colossians 1:24. Paul tells the church at Colossae that he is suffering for them. What do you think Paul is referring to? When you think back on Paul’s life, what things did he suffer for the sake of Christ? How do you think we suffer for Christ today?

2. In Colossians 1:29 and 2:1 Paul tells the church that he wants them to know how hard he has been contending/struggling for them and all the saints. The reason seems to be so that they will be encouraged by his life and efforts. Do you think they were? Why?

3. Who are the people in your life that encourage you in Jesus by how they live their lives? Who, of those you have never met, encourages you in your faith? What is it about their life that encourages you?

4. In Colossians 2:4 and 8-10, Paul seems to be warning the church to watch out for arguments & philosophies that would take them away from Jesus. What do you think that would have been back then? What do you think they are today?

Taking it Home:
Thank God this week for the people in your life that encourage you
