1. One of the benefits of spending time alone with Jesus is that He will give you perspective on life.
2. Time is a temporary limited resource.
3. In Psalm 90, Moses is telling us that time goes by fast.
4. In Psalm 90, Moses is telling us to spend our time carefully in light of eternity.
5. The most important thing in life is relationships with God and others.

3. Would you call this psalm pessimistic, realistic, or encouraging, and why?
4. What do you think this psalm teaches us about God, ourselves, and time?
5. What wisdom do you think comes to a person who learns to number their days? Why do you think it is important for us to think on this?
6. If you were floating on a boat with Jesus and asked Him what are the most important things we need to be spending our time on, what do you think He would say?
7. In light of this message, how do you think you might need to change things in your life? Do the “taking it home” at the end of this section for some practical suggestions.

Pray to the Lord to teach you to number your days and be wise in how you choose to spend the time He has given you.

If you want to know what you believe about God and life, then just look at your calendar. It records what has priority in your life? What story is your schedule writing? To begin rewriting your story, start with rewriting your schedule.
In order to be wise with your time in light of eternity, what needs to happen in each of these areas in your weekly schedule?
What needs to be added to your schedule?
What needs to be subtracted from your schedule?
What do you need to do more of?
What do you need to do less of?
