Following the Truth
In Second Peter chapter one, Peter encourages believers to keep following Jesus because He is the Truth!
Peter proves this by:
His personal witness.
His personal death.
The prophecy of Scripture.
After establishing the credibility of the Christin faith in chapter one, Peter warns believers, in chapter two, to watch out for bad teaching about Jesus that “twists the truth” of the Master and what He did for us.
4. The focal point of false teaching will be about Jesus.
5. In order to have a healthy successful relationship, it has to be built on truth.

2 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned;
