Quick Review:
Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything you heard for the first time or that caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?
Digging Deeper:
1. Read Genesis 2:18-25; Malachi 2:13-16. From these verses what do you see is God’s original purpose for marriage?
2. From these verses, what would you say is a good definition of marriage?
3. In your journeys through life, who would you say has influenced your attitudes towards marriage both positively and negatively?
4. What do you think are the biggest challenges to marriage today and what would you say are the keys to a healthy successful marriage?
5. What do you think Colossians 1:16-17 has to say about the role of Jesus in a Christian marriage?
6. In Ephesians 5:21-33, what does God say our marriages are to reflect? (Think About: If you are married, what changes do you need to make in your own marriage to be an example of the relationship between Christ and His Church, His Bride?) Pray for each other this week in your groups.
Taking it Home:
Read Ephesians 5:21-33 with your spouse. Discuss what things you would like to do individually and together to help make your marriage glorify Christ more.
