1. Read Acts 18:1-8. How would you describe what is happening in these verses?
2. In vs 9-10 Jesus came to Paul in a vision. Why do you think Jesus did this? What do you think was going on in Paul’s life to where Jesus felt that He needed to do this?
3. We read in verses 12-17 that Paul was brought before the Roman authorities by the synagogue leader Sosthenes. How do you think this leader felt after Paul’s trial?
4. In 1 Corinthians 1 we read that Sosthenes becomes a believer. How do you imagine this happened to him?
5. If you were to ask people today to define what love is what do you think they would say?
6. When you read 1 Corinthians 13 and how Paul describes what Love is and isn’t. What is most illuminating and revealing to you?
7. Looking at the descriptions of perfect love in verses 4-7, in which one of these are you the strongest and which ones is Jesus still helping you to grow in?
8. What do you think Paul is trying to say about love from verse 11?
9. Where would you say you are on the journey of learning how to love people in truth the way Jesus teaches us too? ( Ephesians 4:15)
