Follow-up Questions from Sunday:
Quick Review:
Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything you heard for the first time or that caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?
Digging Deeper:
1. When you read Revelation 3:7-13, what would you say is Jesus’ overall message to this community of believers?
2. In John 16:1-3, Jesus warned His disciples that one day they would be kicked out of the synagogues and in Revelation 3 we see that this happened. Why do you think this happened?
3. What do you think Jesus means when He says that a door has been opened to them/us that will not be shut?
4. What open doors has God placed before you on your spiritual journey?
5. In verse 10, Jesus says that a future time of judgment (the rest of the book of Revelation) is coming on the world, but the Church will be kept from it. How do you think this should make us feel? How do you think He will make this happen? (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17?)
6. Why do you think Jesus allows the evil in this world to go on so long without Him coming back to deal with it?
7. How does 2Peter 3:3-9 answer this question?
8. How has this series affected your walk with Jesus and understanding of Him so far?
Taking it Home:
