Follow-up Questions from Sunday:
Quick Review:
Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything you heard for the first time or that caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?
Digging Deeper:
1. How would you describe Saul/Paul before he met Jesus?
2. When you read Acts 26:10-11, why do you think Paul was so “furiously enraged” with the people who loved and followed Jesus?
3. What do you think is at the root of religious hatred that is happening all over the world as people kill other people in the name of “God”? As followers of Jesus, how does he teach us to be different?
4. The first time we see Saul/Paul is in the stoning of Stephen found in Acts 7. When you read Acts 7, what do you think it is that Stephen said that made everyone want to kill him?
5. What do you think was the point of Stephen’s message in Acts 7?
6. In 1 Timothy 1:12-17, Paul reflects back on his life and who he was before meeting Jesus and how God stepped into his life by His grace. What is your understanding of the word “grace”?
7. On Sunday, Pastor Frank said that “grace” is not just an attitude of God, but an action. What do you think he meant by that? How do you think God has shown His grace toward you?
8. How do you think the grace of God should affect how we think about ourselves and how we should live our lives?
