1. Who is He?
“I am the Good Shepherd” (John 10:11)
2. What does He do?
a) Gives life TO the sheep. (John: 10b & 28)
b) Gives life FOR the sheep. (John 10:17-18)
3. How does He do this?
a) He knows them by NAME (John 10:3b)
b) He LEADS them. (John10:4)
c) He lays DOWN HIS LIFE for them (John 10:11)
Digging Deeper
1. While reflecting on this passage, what helped you in your daily life this week?
2. Spend a few moments thinking about how the Good Shepherd has led you in your life thus far. How does it make you feel to think of God caring for you as the Good Sheperd?
3. Read Psalm 46:10. How have you heard His voice speaking to you?
4. What was the turning point for you in terms of responding to His voice?
5. Read John 10:10b. Jesus wants to give us a joyous and powerful life in every dimension – spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. Think of some aspects of your life that overflow with His grace and blessings.
6. Read Psalm 23. Let the thoughts of “MY” Good Shepherd lead you into prayer, thanking Him for His careful watch over you.
