Civil Servant Sunday
Dear Woodbridge Family,
Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Welcome to Passion Week where we honor and remember the final week of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the greatest Servant of all!
Last Sunday we had an amazing service as we set out to honor and appreciate our civil servants in the medical, fire, and law enforcement community! These are indeed special people called to the ministry of mercy and justice in our land. Our retired police chief Dave Maggard gave an awesome message of his own spiritual journey and the importance Jesus has played in his life. (You can download the message in the link below). We estimate over a hundred honorees and their families and guests came. It was only possible because each one of you did your part, from praying for the event to inviting guests and helping out in the countless other details that needed attention. A big thank you to all that worked so hard to make last Sunday happen! “Well done, good and faithful servants!” Matthew 25:23.
There are so many stories from last Sunday which makes it is hard to highlight just one, but I was so touched by an FBI agent who shared with me after the appreciation luncheon that this service was a breath of fresh air to his soul! I could tell in his eyes that he was so moved by our service! Many other people have also shared this with me!
We are looking forward to another great service this next Sunday as we celebrate the greatest Servant of all, Jesus Christ. Please take the time to pray and ask the Lord who He would like you to invite this week…. it’s going to be another service to remember as we help people meet, know, and follow Jesus!
Blessings and praise Jesus for all He has done and is doing!
Together in the journey,
Pastor Frank
