Godfrey and Gloria Catanus

Iloilo, Philippines

By God’s grace, there has never been a dull moment in our ministry here since we came back on June 11. Just four days after arriving from Toronto, Canada, we hosted a mission team from the Filipino-Immanuel Baptist Church of Chicago. To some of them, this was a first visit to the land of their parents’ birth. This then was a memorable experience for them, but more than just the cultural experience, we thank God that they had been blessed even as they had been a blessing to approximately 200 young people here.

The next days, June 25-27, Gloria and I went to Boracay, Aklan, for the prophetic lectures upon the invitation of two churches there. It has been our joy to teach the Word about our “blessed hope” and the prophetic words of warning of His coming judgment.

The month of July will even be more exciting. On Sunday, July 3, we will have our first pre-launch Worship Service. On July 18, our brother and sister, Jonathan and Mercy Smith, from Woodbridge Community Church, Irvine, California, are visiting for a special ministry to our pastors. The months of August to October will be hectic as we anticipate our pastors’ classes, youth meetings, and our much-anticipated Building Dedication / Thanksgiving Worship Service on October 1-2.

Thank you very much, for your prayers and for your generous support of our ministry here. Your recent gift has truly been God’s provision towards the construction of our Multi-purpose ministry center. There are still some needs towards a full completion, but we believe God will provide in due time.

We surely appreciate your partnership in our work of evangelism, discipleship, pastors’ training, youth and children’s ministries. May He find us faithful “till He comes”.
