Why is THE RACE important to the Apostle Paul?

1. Every follower of Jesus is ENTERED in the race.
2. Every follower of Jesus can WIN the prize.
3. The prize is an EARNED REWARD reward for hard work … to finish well and hear the Master say “Well done.” (Matthew 25: 21-23)
4. The medal clearly DEMONSTRATES what you worked hard for, what you believe in, and what you passionately care about: JESUS! (v.25)

Why is DISCIPLINE important?

1. Jesus is a far, far, far more VALUABLE prize, and should solicit from us an even greater COMMITMENT and discipline.

What is the biggest MYTH about the race?

1. God LOVES you (T / F)
2. God wants to BLESS you (T / F)
3. God wants you to be RICH (T / F)
4. God wants you to be HAPPY (T / F)
5. God doesn’t want you to get HURT (T / F)
6. God wants you to be the very BEST you can be (T / F)

Some pointers to help you stay in the race

1. Get a good COACH
2. Have a GOAL
3. PACE yourself and keep moving
